Now the minimum price of this new device is Rs.27,990 and herein lies the question” is it worth it?”Let’s have a look at the specs and decide.
DESIGN AND BODY
In terms of looks the Vivo V19 sports a really premium look. The frame and back are both plastic and the front is glass. It is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 6.
The dimensions are 159.6 x 75 x 8.5 in mm.It weighs 186.5g.So the thickness of 8.5mm and weight of 186.5g along with the 3D curved glass body ensures a perfect grip on the phone.
The display is 6.44″ Super Amoled with 16M colours. The resolution is FHD+ i.e. 1080 x 2400p and screen to body percentage is 83.7%.It comes with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and ~409 ppi.It supports HDR10 and advertises a maximum brightness of 800nits.
The display is called the Dual iView Display by the company and is LIV Super Amoled.Vivo claims that it is the new E3 OLED which filters 42% more harmful blue light than its predecessor the E2 OLED.
OS,PROCESSOR AND STORAGE
Vivo V19 runs on the Funtouch 10 skin based on Android10.
Under the hood is an octa core processor with Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 chipset powered by Adreno 616.
The RAM is 8GB and there are 2 internal storage variants of 128and 256GB.There is also a dedicated slot for MicroSD XCcard along with the dual nano sim slot.
The back of the phone features a Quad camera module with a primary sensor of 48MP and f/1.8.The remaining three are :-a 8MP ultra wide sensor with f/2.2 and 120° field of view,a 2MP macro sensor with f/2.4 and another 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4.
As usual the camera comes with lots of modes and features. For example the Super Night Mode with AI boost for bright low light images. Then there is the Pose Master for both rear and front cameras where suggestions from the phone itself can add more beauty in your pose and make you look like a professional photographer.
The V19 can shoot 4K(2160p) videoas at 30fps and 1080p videos at 30/60 fps.Video shooting also comes with features like Ultra Stable Video and Art Portrait Videos. There is also an AI Video Filters Mode which can detect and separate background subjects and apply various artistic filters.
The front camera is a dual punch hole module on the top right corner of the display. It features a 32MP f/2.1 wide sensor and a 8MP f/2.3 ultra wide sensor with 105 degrees field of view.

It supports 3.5mm jack. The speaker grill is on the bottom edge of the phone.

BATTERY AND COLOURS
The device is backed up by a non removable 4500mAH battery which supports 33W Vivo 2.0 Flash charging which can charge the phone from 0to 70% in 40mins(advertised).
The V19 comes in 2 colour variants:-the Mystic Silver and the Piano Black.
The 8/128GB variant is enlisted at Rs.27,990 and the 8/256GB variant at Rs.31,990.The price is objectionable.I personally feel the processor is not upto the mark..At the price Snapdragon 712 processor is below par.48MP primary camera is available in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy M21 at a far low price.
No doubt both the front and back cameras are good the front camera being above par.But are you willing to pay extra for just cameras? Also the primary rear camera sensor is 48MP.You can get more on the megapixel count at a much lower price.
However Vivo is an established brand and camera images are really excellent and the looks are premium.I still think the price could have been a little lower. What are your views? Please let me know in comments.
