Realme C11 is set to launch on Flipkart tomorrow (14/07/2020)and to be frank is a phone for the mass. Its price in India is not specified yet but from rumours you can be sure it is to be priced at ₹7500 or below. In fact it has already launched in Malaysia at RM429 which when converted comes to around ₹7578.
Realme is truly trying to get a big hold on the market. On one hand it is launching flagships like Realme X50 Pro and mid range monsters like Realme X3 Super Zoom and on the other hand such a low budget phone like the upcoming Realme C11.
It’s marketing strategy is also right upto the mark. The company as you know is an off shoot of Oppo knows very well what a customer of this price section demands and they have fulfilled those beautifully.Without much adieu let’s dive into the details.
DESIGN AND BODY
The design is what the company says a Geometric Art design.Obviously you cannot expect premium quality but looks wise it is good.As expected it is also plastic built. It has a dual camera set-up on the back and a waterdrop notch single front camera.
As you can see there is a 3.5mm port for headphones and beside the USB Type C port there is the speaker grill and the microphone on another side. The dimensions of the phone are 164.4mm×75.9mm×9.1mm.The phone weighs 196g.
Realme C11 sports a 6.5″IPS LCD display which the company advertises as minidrop display due to the mini water drop notch front camera. The display has a resolution of 720×1560 and an advertised screen to body ratio of 88.7%.It has an aspect ratio of 20:9 and~270ppi.
At the price point such a big display with the stretched aspect ratio will give an excellent video watching and gaming experience though obviously gaming with high resolution won’t be possible.
OS, PROCESSOR AND STORAGE
Realme C11 runs the Realme UI 1.0 a relatively new OEM slapped over Android 10.RealmeUI is pretty similar to its parental company Oppo’s Color OS.
Under the hood is the new Mediatek Helio G35 chipset which runs on 12nm technology. It has an octa core processor which clocks upto 2.3GHz.The GPU is Power VR GE8320(680MHz).
2GB RAM +32GB internal storage is the only variant. You can expand storage upto 256GB via micro SD card which has a dedicated card slot alongside the dual sim.
A dual rear camera module is present with a primary 13MP f/2.2 sensor and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. The dedicated depth sensor allows good Bokeh effect and the phone introduces Super Nightscape or in plain words night mode to a phone of this price.HDR is supported but you cannot expect the dynamic range to be of very high quality.
Videos of 1080p can be captured at 30fps and video shooting comes with effects like slow motion videos.
On the front is a 5MP f/2.4 selfie shooter in the form of a tiny waterdrop notch.HDR is supported and the front camera can shoot videos of [email protected]
As mentioned earlier 3.5mm jack is supported for wired headphones.Fingerprint sensor has been compromised with.Face unlock is available with the front camera.Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and USB Type C cable is supported.
BATTERY AND COLOURS
A massive 5000mAH battery powers the Realme C11 and according to claims it has a whopping 40 days stand-by.10W charging is supported and there is good news for gamers as the phone advertises 12.1 hrs of gaming on a single charge.
Mint Green and Pepper Grey are the colour options available.
Phone prices have reached an unbelievable high and most of the companies’ flagships are unaffordable for a common man.But mid-range phones are also increasing and one has a lot of options. In spite of that there is a section of people who crave for low budget phones and Realme C11 addresses them beautifully.
The most important feature this segment demands is a battery that can go long and a respectable camera which can take decent photos. This Realme phone will easily satisfy those needs. In addition it gives a depth camera and a very big display for video watching.
In my opinion this sub ₹8000 phone will be a handsome deal for customers seeking phones of this budget. Anyways what are your thoughts? Please let me know in comments.
