The recently launched Poco X3 NFC is being branded by many tech experts as the best midranger of 2020 till now. To tell the truth it is really so.Some features which this phone boasts of is absent in many high end flagships as well.

As of now it is available in UK for just 199£ for the base model. In India it is sure to launch around that 20000 mark.It has launched in India by the name of Poco X3 and is priced at 16999 INR for the base model and 18999 for the top variant.

Coming back to why the Poco X3 NFC is being so highly recommended you need to know what it offers. Here is a detailed view.

At the price point we are talking about I think you have already guessed that the Poco X3 NFC has a plastic back. The first thing you will notice on this phone is the big POCO branding on the back and the elliptical quad camera module.

The front has a punch hole selfie shooter.Bezels are not the thinnest you have seen but also negligible. The 3.5mm jack holds its place.Talking of audio there are stereo speakers with Hi Res audio certification. As the name suggests NFC is supported for your contactless payments and as other Xiaomi brands the IR blaster also retains its position.

The phone is IP53 certified splash resistant. The dimensions are 165.3 x 76.8 x 9.4 mm and the phone weighs 215g.The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.The SIM tray supports hybrid dual SIM slots.

The Poco X3 NFC features a 6.67″ IPS LCD display with 1080×2400 resolution. It has an aspect ratio of 20:9 and~395ppi.The display is HDR10 supported and the highlight is the 120Hz refresh rate.120 Hz refresh rate is missing in some very high end flagships and somehow Poco has incorporated it here.Inspite of the absence of Amoled tech this display is beautiful for video watching and gaming because of the high refresh rate.

Poco X3 NFC runs on MIUI 12 slapped over Android 10.You also get the Poco launcher with its nearly stock Android experience.MIUI 12 is the best version of MIUI and except for some ads it is pretty good. The dedicated gaming mode offers lots of features to enhance your experience along with the 120Hz refresh rate and 240 Hz touch sampling rate.

Under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G SoC running on 8nm technology and clocking maximum of 2.3GHz.The GPU is Adreno 618.I should mention that the Poco X3 NFC is one of the first phones in the world featuring this chipset. To be very honest except for the absence of 5G this chipset is one of the best suited for the mid-range segment.

6GB and 8GB of RAM is present and two variants of the phone has 64GB and 128GB internal storage respectively. You can also expand storage via micro SD card which shares SIM card slot.

A quad camera module is featured in the Poco X3 NFC with a primary 64MP f/1.9 sensor,a 13MP f/2.2 ultra wide sensor with 119° field of view,a 2MP f/2.4 macro and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor.Tje 64MP primary camera captures 16MP photos by default and you can also shoot 64MP photos with extra details.

The image quality is above par in suitable conditions from the primary camera with natural colour representation. The portraits are also good thanks to the dedicated depth sensor.Again I find the macro lens to be below par.Lots of bonus features are present in the camera app.

Maximum 4K videos can be [email protected] and 1080p [email protected]/120fps.Slow motion videos can also be shot.Stabilisation is also pretty decent thanks to the gyro EIS.

The front has a 20MP f/2.2 selfie snapper which can capture videos of [email protected] and Panorama are supported on both rear and front cameras as is Portrait mode though there is no dedicated depth sensor on the front.

The fingerprint sensor is side mounted and is quite fast.Un addition there is also face unlock along with the customery pattern or password unlock features.

A big 5160mAH battery is present in the Poco X3 NFC which supports 33W fast charging. This is sufficient to last for a day however extensive your use may be.

Cobalt Blue and Shadow Grey are the colour variants.

The Poco X3 NFC inspite of some of its flagship like features will face some serious competition from the Realme 7 Pro and Realme 7.But the Snapdragon 732G and the 120Hz display along with primary 64MP camera gives it an edge over the competition at the price.
