Oppo Reno 4 Pro 5G is yet another upcoming Oppo phone with premium looks. The family also has an Oppo Reno 4 which difference mainly in the camera section.
The recently launched Oppo Find X2 Pro 5G has been a revelation in the smartphone market. The Oppo Reno 4 Pro 5G follows in its footsteps. The find X2 Pro features the Snapdragon 865 chipset while the Reno 4 Pro has the Snapdragon 765G.Both support 5G but there is a huge difference in price and therefore the same applies for the smartphones.
Basically the Snapdragon 765G is mostly used in the mid range smartphones. Thus the Oppo Reno 4 Pro is also a mid range 5G smartphone but its looks can make a top end flagship ashamed. Without much adieu let’s dive into the details.
DESIGN AND BODY
The Oppo Reno 4 Pro 5G sports glass front and back on an aluminium frame. It is protected bye Corning Gorilla Glass 6. The back has a matte finish and Reno Glow is printed on the side. The materials used are of premium quality and the phone is bound to catch everybody’s attention.
On the back is a a triple camera module rectangular in shape. The camera lenses look like those used in an iPhone but are obviously different. On the front is a punch hole selfie camera. The display is curved over the edges and is almost bezel less.
The dimensions of the phone are 159.6mm×72.5mm×7.6mm.It weighs 172g.The 7.6mm thickness and the light weight makes it an easy to handle smartphone.

The 90Hz refresh rate is is a top end speck nowadays and is found in the likes of OnePlus 8. Obviously you can change the refresh rate to 60 Hz to save battery. Like all other Amoled displays this phone also features the vivid mode with brighter colours.

Under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 G chipset which runs on 7 nanometre technology. This chipset has 5G modem integrated into it. It has an octa core processor(1×2.4GHz,1×2.2GHz,6×1.8GHz) and the the GPU is Adreno 620.This SoC is used by all the low priced 5G smartphones and its performance is undoubtedly good for the mid-range section.

OPPO RENO 4 PRO GLOBAL VERSION(4G)
Oppo Reno 4Pro launched in India today (31/07/2020) and has many changes from the original. The display is similar with 3D curved glass. It is 7.7mm thick and weighs 161g.The big change is the processor which is Snapdragon 720G meaning that it is not 5G enabled. It comes in the 8GB/128GB(RAM/STORAGE) variant.
Another big change is in the camera section. The Indian Reno4 Pro has a quad camera set-up with the same primary 48MP lens. The remaining 3 are different- a 8MP ultra wide sensor,a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP monochromatic lens.A unique feature is the AntiFlare Portrait mode which adds light to foreground and captures beautiful portraits even in low light. The mono lens allows you to shoot photos with colour pops in 3 colours i.e Red, Blue and Green. This means only these colours will be seen in the image and rest will be black and white. The front features the same 32MP punch hole camera.
The back is as they say protected by anti glare technology and the display is TUV Rheinland certified for protection against harmful Blue light. The phone is available in Starry Night and Silky White colour variants.
The Oppo Reno 4 Pro 5G may seem a bit over priced but to be frank Oppo has used top class materials in it.A curved Amoled display costs more then others. The camera and battery is also worth looking into.
The other member of the family that is is the Oppo Reno 4 which is also 5G enabled and has the same processor, differs in camera and the fact that it has a slightly smaller flat Amoled display.
Yes there are are many competitors in the same price range and many phones with the same processor priced lower. But Oppo has always produced good camera phones and rest assured the Oppo Reno 4 Pro has looks to kill for. Still whether the phone is is good value for money depends upon the user.
