Motorola has done it again. The Moto G 5G is the cheapest 5G phone till date to be launched in India. It will be available for sales from the 7th of December,2020 via Flipkart for Rs.20999 INR.The previously available lowest priced 5G phone was the OnePlus Nord which started at Rs.27999 INR.
Besides the above the Moto G 5G is also the first phone in India to come with the latest Snapdragon 750G chipset. This new chip is the reason for the price. Before this either you had to opt for the flagship Snapdragon 865 or for low price the Snapdragon 765G chipset if you bought a 5G ready smartphone.
Yes the Snapdragon 750G being a new SoC it’s performance has to be tested but you can rely on Qualcomm Snapdragon and moreover it already boasts of 20% improved performance than the previous generation.
Before going into the summary of the specifications I should remind you that Motorola had already launched Moto G 5G Plus with Snapdragon 765G and this phone is available in selected markets. Now let’s see what the new Motorola Moto G 5G has to offer.

Well to be honest the Moto G 5G looks almost similar to the recent Motorola launches.Edges are very slightly curved and bezels are also minimum. The back has a triple camera module and a physical fingerprint sensor which also features the Motorola logo on top.On the front is a punch hole selfie shooter right in the middle of the top end.Like most Motorola phones the Moto G 5G also has a dedicated button to summon Google Assistant.3.5mm port is present and audio is taken care of by the single bottom mounted speaker.NFC is also supported.

The display is 6.7″ IPS LCD with HDR 10 support. The resolution is 2400× 1080 and aspect ratio is 20:9.The size of the display ensures good video watching and gaming experience.

PERFORMANCE
As already mentioned above the Moto G 5G houses the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset which runs on 8nm technology. The processor clocks a maximum of 2.2GHz and the GPU is Adreno 619. The G in the name implies that the chipset is game centric.

6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage is the only variant available for sale as of now.You can also expand storage upto 1TB via micro SD card which will take up one of your dual SIM slot.

BATTERY AND COLOURS
The Moto G 5G houses a 5000 mAH battery with 20W turbo or fast charging prowess. This battery is by far the largest in comparison to its direct competitors(5G phones).
Volcanic Grey and Frosted Silver are the colour options available.

CONCLUSION
There is not much competition in the lower priced 5G phones as of now.The only ones are the OnePlus Nord and the recently launched Vivo V20 Pro.The Moto G 5G is the hands down winner in terms of price. But there are some cons. The first that comes to my mind is the thickness and weight of the phone. In terms of looks it is not so premium to be honest.Well both the other phones have dual selfie cameras.U should remind you that the Vivo V20 Pro has the best camera of the three phones I have mentioned.
Then again Moto G 5G has the largest battery and it also boasts of stock Android experience.Camera tech of Motorola phones is quite good and when budget us a factor I can easily recommend the Moto G 5G.
